A Call to Action for Oklahoma!

Kids Against Hunger partners with Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin on her One Million Meal Initiative for the Feeding Oklahoma project.  Gov. Fallin has invited Kids Against Hunger to come to the Capitol in Oklahoma City on Thursday, November 17, where we hope to provide 100,000 meals.  Volunteers will assemble the high-nutrition food packages on that day.

This food will be given to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma in Tulsa and to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City in order to provide food to the hungry during the holiday season this year.

According to statistics released by the USDA, Oklahoma is the fourth hungriest state in the nation. One out of every five children in Oklahoma is at risk of going to bed hungry every night.  NO CHILD - whether in Haiti or in Oklahoma - should every have to go to bed with an empty stomach.

YOU can make a difference this holiday season by providing meals for the hungry!  Please go to our Donate page and make a generous contribution to this effort.  For every dollar you donate, four nutritious meals can be provided.
